Made by Cuisinart, this 2-quart double boiler fits a 2-3/4-quart saucepan and is handsome, strong, and intelligently designed. Made for easy whisking, the bottom of the double boiler is curved like a bowl, while its ridge keeps it stable. The turned handle is long and comfortable with a hollow-tube design to stay ventilated and cool during cooking. Light without being flimsy, this insert is easy to lift and can hang by a hole in its handle. A finely tapered rim makes for clean, dripless pouring--great for filling a pie crust or transferring sauce into a serving dish.
