I purchased this a little more than a year ago (not from Amazon, but here in Australia). The unit works well for pureeing soups & sauces, whisking egg whites and cream, and chopping small amounts of vegetables for salsas and pesto. I have had NO problems at all with it and now find myself using it every few days. The only negative comments I have are regarding the hand-washing requirements that are needed for some parts of the whisk and chopper. Otherwise, an excellent, easy to use appliance at a good price.
