Customer Review: This juicer works great for me!

I received this juicer as a gift (purchased in a department store, not from Amazon). I have been wanting to replace my old juicer for awhile because it (the other brand) was very loud, but at the same time very weak. Before using this juicer I came to read the reviews, because they're usually very helpful (and I wanted to make sure to get a GOOD juicer this time). The reviews were overwhelmingly negative, but there were some very positive reviews as well, so I decided to try it out for myself first.
MY REVIEW:
Pros:
- gorgeous design. looks much nicer than the plastic ones
- very powerful, the orange/lemon/lime rinds were completely clear of pulp after about 20 or 30 seconds (the auto-reverse really helps to get all the juice out)
- quiet (I was surprised about this, considering the power)
- the extra spin you can do at the end (remove the fruit and press the lid down on the machine) makes sure you get all of the juice out of the machine and into the glass
- you can open and close the spout, so you can choose whether to empty directly into a glass or wait until you've finished
- as easy to clean as it gets for a juicer - just scrape the pulp out with your finger and rinse. There's no jug, so you have fewer parts to clean.
Cons:
- The spout is a little too low for some of my taller glasses. So at first was collecting the juice into small juice glasses one at a time. Then I decided it makes more sense to use a measuring cup to collect all the juice and then pour it into the drinking glasses.
MY RESPONSE TO THE OTHER REVIEWS:
I haven't had any of the problems the others are experiencing (I've read several one-star reviews and watched one of the accompanying videos). Mine works just as depicted in the Amazon video. The only explanation I can come up with is either 1) some (or many) of the juicers are defective and I was lucky enough to get a good one? or 2) possibly user error is to blame?
In one user video, the juicer was getting clogged with pulp and juice was leaking all over the place. This hasn't happened to me (to be fair, I've juiced at most 6 oranges in one sitting). But if it does, I'd suggest removing the fruit, placing the clear lid on top of the machine, and pressing down. This makes the reamer spin, so that the pulp collects all to the edges. I think this would allow the juice will run freely again.
I also haven't had the stability problem. When I first put the juicer on my counter, it wasn't flush with the counter all the way around. But then I realized that this was because I hadn't threaded the electrical cord through the hole. After doing that it was stable. I am able to juice my oranges, lemons, and limes (no grapefruit, though, as I don't care for it) with one hand without moving the machine at all.
For me this juicer works great with no problems. It looks great, is affordable and is powerful, yet quiet. If I have the time maybe I'll make a video to demonstrate.
