Customer Review: Finally over the fear of pressure cookers!!

It took a lot for me to trust the reviews, because my fear of pressure cookers goes back a long, long time! I couldn't wait for it to arrive, so I could try it out. Today! I cooked a New England Boiled Dinner...been cooking it traditionally on stove top for over 45 years! It was the best ever!!...in taste especially! I usually made a huge pot with a large "picnic" ham shoulder, but this time I purchased a slab about 1/2" thick, first quartered an onion and threw it in, then cut the "slab" in half and threw it in, three medium carrots about 2" slices threw in.. one tablespoon of "Pickling Spices" (McCormick's), peeled and cut in half two pototoes throw in, finally one very small cabbage (about size of grapefruit), quartered and covered top... then added water til it came to the bottom of cabbage! (this filled a little more than half of the 6 qt pot! Set timer HIGH pressure for 8 minutes! (Much smaller version of mine) Perfect!! My husband loved it.... very easy clean up!...Tomorrow is Curried Chicken and Rice! WELLA!!! Didn't even need a recipe book...BUT I did read all the instructions for use>> Very Important!
