Customer Review: Best Toaster for the Price

Amazon had this Toaster on sale for $15, and I doubt you can buy a better toaster than this for 15 bucks. It toasts bread and bagels evenly and reasonably quickly and doesn't take up much space on my counter, and that's about all I ask of a toaster. The fact that it's made by Cuisinart gives me some confidence that I won't have to replace it in a year.
A few things to note:
* This is billed as a "compact" toaster, and therefore the slots are the size of a standard slice of grocery store bread. If you want to toast anything much bigger than that, it's not going to fit. Hasn't been a problem for me so far.
* My only gripe is that the illuminated dial is kind of silly. I mean, honestly, it would be just as easy to read the numbers on a non-illuminated dial, and the dial is illuminated any time the toaster is plugged in. I'm sure the power consumed by the dial is minuscule, but being somewhat OCD about these things, I unplug the toaster when it's not in use. It's a small thing, and not enough to dock it a star.
So far smooth sailing (toasting?), and definitely a step up from my ancient previous toaster.
