Customer Review: Great hand blender!

This is the first time I've reviewed a product, but this one is so good I had to recommend it. I've had this product for about a month and used it at least once a day for smoothies, pureeing soups, etc. The main reason for the purchase was to make our morning smoothies. Like a lot of people mentioned, I hate dragging out my blender and then cleaning it up after using it. I make smoothies using kefir, orange juice, banana, and frozen fruit and berries so can't comment on ice cubes, but most of the frozen strawberries we get are nearly as big as golf balls and they blend up with no problems. I use a wide mouth quart jar and move the blender up and down to keep it flowing smoothly and have had no problems with blending or the unit overheating. I'm 60 and have some arthritis and weakness in my hands, so I was concerned that I would have trouble using this appliance. No worries; the shape of the handle and the location of the switch make it a perfect fit and it doesn't hurt my hands to use it even for 5 minutes or more. It's very powerful and does a much better job than my heavy duty blender and cleanup is a breeze. I put my blending container in the kitchen sink when I'm blending, which is less awkward and allows me better control. I wrap the cord around the handle and store in two pieces in a drawer, very handy and takes very little space. I got the bright red color so it's easy to spot.
