Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Cuisinart Chef's Classic 12-Inch Stainless Everyday Pan with Dome CoverCustomer Review: Love this pan! Summary: 5 StarsI love the size of this pan. The design of the pan makes it capable to cook one pot meals and you can go from stove top to the oven. It is easy to clean and the two handles make it safer and easier to move. The dome cover hits my other pans as well. Great product for the price. I would buy this product again.
Customer Review: Cusinart Chef's Classic Stainless Pan Summary: 3 StarsWe did not realize that the pan could only be used at low to medium heat levels. This limits it usefulness to us. We have only used it one time since we purchased it earlier this year. I probably would not have bought it if I had known it had this limitation.
Customer Review: Pan lives up to "Everyday" name. Summary: 5 StarsMy wife wanted a second large frying pan for our Cuisinart set and I suggested this pan as an alternative. She couldn't be happier with the choice and has been using it everyday. I'm not going to pretend it is better than All-Clads' top of the line, but it also doesn't cost a fortune. This pan is of the same quality as the rest of the set (excellent) and we are very happy with the purchase.
Customer Review: a terrific pan Summary: 5 StarsI have been using this pan since I purchased it-both inside the oven and on top of the stove.I am extremely satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone.
Customer Review: Nice pan but too shallow Summary: 4 StarsBought this pan to replace an aging Silverstone fry pan. The pan is relatively lightweight as it is made out of very thin stainless, and has a bonded aluminum heat spreader on the bottom which is also covered in stainless somehow. It works well and cleans up well. The highly polished domed metal top is really nice, I tend to hate the heavy glass tops that have been all the rage for too long now.
But I'm going to look for something else I can use the top with, something at least an inch deeper and with a real handle. We eat stir-fry once a week or so and this pan is just too shallow, vegetables end up all over the stove and floor no matter how careful you are. And this is just stir-fry for two people. The handles are often too hot to hold, which is a pain. I've seen pans advertised as "chicken cookers" that are more what I'm looking for.
If you fry a small, uncomplicated item in it, like an egg or something, it might work OK, but that's about it. It's too shallow for liquids, and veggies go everywhere.
