Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Cuisinart DCG-20BK Coffee Bar Coffee Grinder, BlackCustomer Review: not worth the money Summary: 1 StarsPossibly the worse coffee grinder around and I've owned three brands. The lid in engineered in such a way that the grinder can hold very little coffee. I have to grind in two batches. Design of the lid causes a mess when pouring into coffee pot...coffee grounds all over the counter. Grinds to a course coffee at best. Would run from this. I am very disappointed in Cuisinart.
Customer Review: Cuisenart coffee grinder Summary: 5 StarsA very sturdy and simple to operate product. Cuisinart DCG-12BC Grind Central Coffee Grinder
Customer Review: Broke after 2 uses Summary: 1 StarsI had this one as a back-up to my Starbucks Barista grinder which died when the blades broke. This one worked exactly two times. The second time it didn't even work that well. Most of the beans weren't ground. It feels cheap and was cheap. It came as a *bonus* with the Cuisinart coffeemaker we bought which also is a shoddy product. No more Cuisinart products in this household!
UPDATE: I contacted Cuisinart, and they are sending a replacement. I'm still wary, but I do appreciate the good customer service.
Customer Review: Complete grind with no residue Summary: 5 StarsGreat coffee grinder! I have tried several coffee grinders. All but the Cuisinart leave some beans unground and/or leave an annoying amount of residue in the grinder. Aesthetically pleasing style. Cord storage inadequate and awkward to use.
Customer Review: Cheapo Quality Summary: 1 StarsBought this $10 unit as a back up to my Mr Coffee grinder that is almost 10 yrs old. Well this Cuisinart lasted less than 6 months (maybe used 10 times). The unit is noisier than my old Mr Coffee grinder, and messier. Grounds tend to get caught all over. The 18-month warranty is a joke, as it would cost almost as much as a new unit to ship and get 'processed'. I thought Cuisinart was a quality brand but guess you get what you pay for. Skip this item and look for a better quality product.
