This thing lasted about 5 minutes and then burned out even when following instructions to not run it more than the specified number of seconds.If this thing cant handle breaking up (not pulverising )almonds, then why were almonds on the list of things you could chop with it?????? The good news was that the customer service people at Popeil who sold this item through Amazon were probably the most helpful and polite bunch I have ever dealt with. One star for Cuisnart and TEN stars for Popeil Stores.I would be happy to deal with them any time.Customer Review: More Chinese Landfill

Tried to make almond butter in this thing.It lasted about 4 minutes before it burned out,even when following directions stating that it should not be used continually but in brief intervals. Its no wonder our land fills are getting filled up so fast........
