Description of Cuisinart Stand Mixer - 7 qt - Brushed Chrome
This stand mixer has the power, control, capacity, and precision engineering to handle any job a recipe calls for. The processional quality 1000 watt motor mixes through the heaviest dough without slowing down. Twelve mixing speeds support every mixing task. A slow start eliminates splatters. The ultra-gentle fold function sifts dry ingredients or combines delicate ingredients without deflating them. A 15-minute countdown timer tracks the mixing time for you, and shuts off the mixer automatically when finished. The extra-large 7 quart stainless steel bowl has double handles which make even full bowls easy to attach, detach, and carry. The tilt-back mixer head provides easy access to the bowl and beater; a head-lift release lever securely locks the stand mixer head into the raised tilt-back position. With three accessories, you can mix, whip, and knead dough. The flat mixing paddle is used for stirring, mixing, and beating ingredients/mixtures; it is most frequently used for mixing cookies, cakes, batters (use flat mixing paddle to start the batter for yeast breads then switch to dough hook for a more evenly mixed dough), and frostings. It is also used for making pie crusts, biscuits and shortcakes, dough for pasta, combining ingredients for meatloaf or meatballs, and mashing potatoes. The chef's whisk incorporates air into ingredients/mixtures; use it when whipping eggs, egg whites or heavy cream, as well as in recipes for angel food cake, chiffon cake, meringue or dacquoise, some types of candy such as divinity, and for whipping potatoes after they have been mashed using the flat mixing paddle. The dough hook is used for the final mixing and kneading of yeast doughs for breads, rolls, pizza/focaccia, and yeast-raised coffee cakes. A splash guard with a pour spout prevents spattering when mixing and adding ingredients.
