Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Cuisinart WMB-4 4-Slice Belgian Waffle MakerCustomer Review: Evenly browned, crisp waffles, and easy to use Summary: 5 Stars
Terrific waffle-maker! The browning is even and the different settings let you make your waffles as soft and tender or as dark and crisp as you want. In my case, I get the very crisp waffles my family likes by using the highest setting: 6. (For very crisp waffles, I also recommend using a recipe for yeasted or raised waffles, found in Rose Levy Beranbaum's _The Cake Bible_, or Shirley Corriher's _Cookwise_, or Marion Cunningham's learn-to-cook cookbook whose title escapes me at the moment.) The non-stick surface is fantastic. As long as there is some fat in your waffle recipe, there is no need to brush or spray any oil on the grids; the waffles lift right out with a plastic fork or spatula (plastic to protect the non-stick finish!). Cleanup is simply wiping the grids free of beads of moisture and fat with a dry paper towel. My family requests waffles every weekend now, and when I think of the money I am saving by not eating out at a restaurant's brunch buffet. . . ! I highly recommend this waffle-maker!
Description of Cuisinart WMB-4 4-Slice Belgian Waffle MakerNow you can make perfect, deep pocketed Belgian Waffles - four at a time! With the Cuisinart WMB-4 Four Slice Belgian Waffle Maker Cuisinart's Four-Slice Belgian Waffle Maker turns anyone into a waffle pro! The waffle maker preheats quickly to the desired temperature setting and maintains that temperature while the baker fusses with pouring the batter. A red indicator light shows that the unit is cooking the waffles and then turns green when they're done. The nonstick coating makes it easy to remove waffles and makes the chore of cleaning out the pockets very easy--just use a paper towel. It's even easy enough that kids can learn how to make breakfast. But make sure they use an oven mitt while opening the latch, as steam escaping from the waffle maker can burn. Even the recipes included in the manual are easy to whip up. --Julija Gelazis
