The search for the ideal waffle iron continues, unfortunately, because this one takes half the morning to make even the smallest numbers of waffles. The audible timer function, while a selling point, serves only to prompt one back into the kitchen to find the waffle-in-waiting practically as un-ready as the previous audible notification(s).
While I'm a fan of leisurely weekend breakfasts, it takes upwards of 10+ minutes for this particular unit -- regardless the temperature setting -- to produce a single waffle making for a most-of-the-morning affair.
The fault could easily be with the remanufactured nature of this admittedly nice-looking unit, but I certainly do not recommend investing in this unit for any other purpose than to make a nice appearance in your kitchen.
